Host not responding even if the host is on
So we haven't played recently but me and my hubby joined a friend in their server.

Now yesterday, everything was perfectly fine..

Then today me and my hubby have been constantly getting "Host not responding" even if our friend is clearly in the server.

Anyone else having this problem as of late?

The "Host not responding" is usually a heads up the server might crash or its a connection issue. As a host for a multiplayer save I play with my friend, there are times they will say, hey that message popped up, even though things are running fine for me, after a few seconds, things are fine. Sometimes its due to lag, for example, I would be setting up a tarp, the game freezes for a few seconds, they get that message, then things continue running fine. Seems certain actions that cause lag can make that message pop up too.

Also when playing with them on their dedicated server, there isn't a player that is a host, the server acts as host, so for sure when it says "Host not responding" in that situation, it would mean a crash was about to happen. So we would save quickly in case it would.

Its been a thing since early access, haven't seen it happen as much as it did before full release honestly.

Uh... The person that created the server is the Host though, in a way. Like if they are not on, the server doesn't work so they need to be the one to start it and be on the server for us to be there. We're getting it while the owner of the server is playing with us and it stays on our screen till it kicks us out even if the owner is still there.
I'm not talking about a dedicated server.
This has NEVER happened to us till now so not sure what's going on.
Right now I created a new game and so far, my friends have not gotten the "Host is not responding"...
EDIT: The friends got it too on my server lol

Even if the host is in the game, that message still pops up, just saying its nothing new. I personally saw it happen more frequently during early access and after full release only a few times. It can be caused from either connection issues or lag. Doesn't matter if the host is afk or not, that message will pop up whenever there is a connection issue between the hosting computer and the server. Hopefully it eventually happens less for you guys, cause I know it sucks when that message pops up and you have to save quickly in case the game crashes.
