Why scarecrows (that don't work) when we have armour stands?

Simply give armour stands the same function as a scarecrow, except, make it actually work. Seagulls still seem to get down to business regardless of the scarecrow.

Also, it's a pretty lame scarecrow.

Scarecrows have worked for me multiple times.

Doesn't work for me at all. Birds still land on the meat rack. Kind of silly.

I built my first scarecrow the other day. It took a day or 2 but they finally stopped swarming my drying racks.

Next time I play I will put fresh meat on my racks and see if the seagulls still stay away.
