why cant we get un update

They're working on stuff behind the scenes. They recently had a beta build which has now been hidden (likely Steam's doing as its happened to a lot of games too) but the build continues to be getting updated constantly, and it has been worked on since the 1.0 release. They will have taken every bit of feedback and suggestions from the 1.0 release and have been working on making the game better

I am going to bet dollars to doughnuts that we will get something big on February 22. 23 or 24. That makes it one year after the 1.0 release.

Oh 100% we will get something big, it's just when we'll get it. Endnight worked on the Alpha for The Forest for 4 years and continued development till 2019, they have 0 reason to work on SOTF till 1.0 and never return. Plus there continues to be updates made on a private branch, which was the beta build branch, and still continues to get worked on, and has been worked on since the 1.0 release.

Wishlist...

Planters... I planted 1 Mushroom and got Zero back, when it had grown. I want at least 1 back, with no replanting after picking them.


Metal Pot Holder... so I can have multiple Pots over Fires, for water and cooking. Without them falling to the ground, when the fire dies.

Skillet... Fry my Fish, in a Frying Pan.

And Ozzys is right, you did stated 0 updates, so it was a bit misleading.
