I guess rabbits don't multiply in the hutch and don't give skin so they are pointless?
it's a full release. they're not adding the other pelts that we knew from the first game. the last update was 5 months ago and I'm sure it was purely technical.
not having smaller, easier to catch animals or just crocodiles to kill for skin like in the first is actually one of my gripes with this one considering how aggressive and plentiful cannibals are and how you now need tape for bone armor which is mostly found in caves, containers, cannibal camps and skin pouches.
You should save your rope for bone armor early in the game , leaf armor and hide armor are pretty weak (if they use rope, not sure never made any). lots of rope that respawns in the game at abandoned camps and other locations, no need to fight any cannibals early on to get it. once you discover these areas rope is not a problem, tape is the problem early on. i usually have a full set of bone armor by day 3 or 4.
that is what I am saying. iirc bone armor in the first was crafted with rope, bones and cloth. tape is too scarce of a resource to be used in armor which is essential to survive cannibal attacks unless your base is booby trapped to the tits like the house in home alone
they do. I keep finding coins, batteries and watches in pouches. that's how I was able to craft explosive arrows very early on to make the rebreather cave easier
