As far as I know, you can’t build palisade gates. You can only build defensive wall gates.

in guide book there is recipe for pallisades but it is broken, you cant build them, only gates

Build a wall out of logs & then use an axe to sharpen the top (you have to aim at the very top of the already placed log).

You can also make a spike wall.

Just because you do not know how it works it doesn't mean it's broken.
