That's a shame, so there's isn't a cave system interconnected as seen in the forest
A shame really. It was a selling point for me.
You could try this sons of the forest version.............
Patch 13 - Tarp walls, Cave additions, new blueprints and more
Hey everyone,
This patch re-works Cave D (the gold armor/rifle cave) adding a bunch of cool additions and some big surprises. We also added a new extension to cave B (the rope gun cave) two new ??? items, and 3 new findable blueprints.
Additionally we added a new skinned enemy type who is very aggressive, gave twins the ability to burst out through the ground, and lots more. For the full list check below
In this game the caves are overwhelmingly boring and painful to play through. Either they are too simple/short (sometimes literally only being a room) with nothing interesting in them or they are so overly long and linear that it makes you want to kill yourself (irl of course). There's no vast, complex and interlinked systems that make you question what in gods name is hiding under the earth here. Only boredom and pain.
The caves int TSOF, are fine, just not what they were in the OG. Get used to exploring, and remembering.
