Multiplayer bug: Does anyone know how to solve it?

When I join a friend's server, the game starts loading and stops halfway or at the end, saying that the host disconnected from the server, but in fact he didn't disconnect and the internet is fully functional, it's not a connection problem. I have to try it over and over again until it works, and sometimes we even give up playing because of this annoying delay. This wasn't happening when I bought the game, it happened in the next update, and it was never fixed in any new update.

Has anyone had this problem and managed to solve it?

Maybe your antivirus software is blocking it. I had that happen with me after a software update.
