Ancient Armor - Golden Door WTF? PLEASE HELP - **SPOILERS**

I got the armor from the space ship. I went to the golden door, and found the blueprint on the skeleton. I built the thing... I put the armor in the thing, along with the required ore. I turned it on, I defended it until the thunder stopped, and the machine finished. I collected the "Ancient Armor". I go back to the door, it still doesn't open. The dude just cries that I need something else.

WTF else do I need besides the ancient armor?? Anything? Do I need to find all of those little golden puzzle fragment things first? I'm at 6/7 of those... Do I have to go to all of the bunkers? I'm so lost, and every single post just says the same thing, to put the armor in the machine, etc.. etc...

Look at the base of that door and pick up the blueprint. Build the armor plating device. Stick in a bunch of solafite ore and the golden armor. Hit the power button and fight off the mutants who want to be your closest friends...er-r-r-r-r...enemies. When complete, put on the golden armor, stick your hand to the door, and watch with amazement as the door opens. Kill everything that moves. Show no mercy.

He says he did all that. Maybe try verifying the game files?

must be some kind of bug, I've only completed the story twice in all the games i've played and i did everything you did and it worked both times. you shouldn't need to collect all the artefact pieces for it to work, it just won't let you complete the artefact until you have all the pieces. verify files, if that doesn't work i'm not sure. you may need help from the dev's if such a thing is possible, not sure the level of customer service this game has. most games are lacking in this area.
This maybe a stupid question but i have to ask. you did remember to equip/wear the armour right?

Is your golden armor now actually golden or still bronze? have you added that golden ore? sulfite or something is called to the shrine to make armor golden? And you dont need a complete item of 7/7, because you get the 7th part when you get out of this cave you trying to enter not before. Not sure if you need a golden mask? make sure you have it just in case. and you have to wear the armor but i think you have done that :) anyways best of luck

be sure you didn't upgrade the bone armor instead of ancient armor

I tried tough love by whacking him with a stick whenever he slacked off. Now he refuses all my commands.
