Cannibals vs Mutants

On my second play-thru, doing the achievements. Decided to go raid some Cannibal camps and I noticed odd behavior with the mutants. Fingers will ban together near cannibal campfires and spit slime on them. Then I noticed empty cannibal camps with the fire out and covered in slime. They are also full of highlevel mutants.

I cant remember if they where always abandoned with slime on them or if its the mutants taking over camps.

I'm also about half way done systematically destroying cannibal camps. Dont know if that helps the mutants.

Yeah they fight each other and it seems that one encounters this firsthand after about 50 to 60 days or so .. its kind of cool you can watch and then take out the weakened mutants and get creepy armor.

I rescued a cannibal and he got up and stabbed at me so I took out my mini hatchet and sliced em to bits.

The rumor is that if you wipe out the cannibals then more mutants are about for you to contend with because they are not fighting each other
