New Launch Screen is a Major Turnoff

For people who play peaceful mode and enjoy the game for it's beautiful graphics and building mechanics, the new mutant arms start screen is a major turnoff. Not everyone who plays this game is into the disturbing gore fest.

Chopper in flight was cool. It's fine for me, but basically guarantees my wife won't play it any more. Just saying they're loosing a demographic. No need to preach.

I mean, its just hands and arms - could be a picture made from the stage at a concert you know. Some have bigger ones, some smaller, some miss a finger some have one more... dont think you can call that "gore".. i would even go so far to say - you can not call that horror. But yeah you know no games are made for all - one of my mates stopped playing cause he couldn't stand the cut off limbs in the backpack. happens...have a nice day

There is a MOD called "Alternative Menu". This allows you to change the start menu screen.

I kinda like the old one better too. Would be nice if we had an option to pick the old one.

I like to slice off their leg with my katana and pick up their leg while they are writhing on the ground. Maybe I'll start a fire and roast it up right in front of them from now on.

@OP: You might want to play Icarus in open world mode instead. It's very similar in many ways, and it's not designed to be a gorefest.

With this mod you can use menu screen from The Forest if you choose.

This menu screen should be an editable graphic but of course its buried in a file or something ...
