Do you think creepy armor needs a nerf?
Not in terms of its health value, but rather in terms of how easy it is obtain compared to other armors. Bone armor gives less health, but its much harder to craft as you need 4 bones, rope and duck tape. Tech armor requires a bunch of valuable resources to make and you need a lot of ink at a 3D printer, solafite armor requires you to first have bone armor, make its blueprint and then endure a bunch of mutants. However creepy armor can be used right after skinning mutants. And if you are a skilled fighter then you can sometimes easily kill mutants with little to no hassle. Fingers, twins and demons especially are often free armor.

My proposed nerf is that when you skin a mutant then you get a creepy skin. 3 creepy skins, cloth and duck tape are needed for one creepy armor.

I actually agree with this. Right now I have a storage shelf for each armor type. The only one completely full is the creepy armor. It is much to easy to just skin them and presto, you have armor. You should have to craft it like other armors. Good point Sea Prince.
Yea. This was a big problem in the first game too, but I really think they should make creepy armor a bit harder to actually use. Its so bad that I was thinking of not using creepy armor anymore on my current playthrough.

When I wear leaf armor, I shake. When I wear hide armor, people protest. When I wear bone armor, I feel dead. When I wear creepy armor, my IQ significantly drops and I just want to kill things, and when I wear tech armor, I need to find Sarah Connor.

I agree. Creepy armor makes things too easy, since there are basically several semi-easy enemies that are just a free armor pick-up (Especially after getting katana and/or learning to parry).

Creepy Armor should be crafted from a resource you get from skinning creepies, that would make it much more balanced and interesting.

Or buff other armors.
The armor dynamic was vastly different in the first game. Bone armor was essentially free, and all you had to do was set a few cannibals on fire essentially. Creepy armor was much harder to get because there were fever mutants, but it lasted much longer.

There are some enemies here that absolutely delete armor, so I don't think reducing how often we get it would be smart. Combat difficulty should match how difficult it is go get food and water.

I think buffing other armors would be a bad approach because each armor has health tiers. Which goes in the following from lowest to highest being leaf, bone, creepy, tech, solafite. Buffing other armors would mess up this progression of health. You would have to put creepy armor at a lower health value for that to work. And creepy armor makes more sense were it is now. I think creepy armor should just require more resources to actually be usable then killing mutants.

I am not a skilled fighter, I am lucky if I break even with mutant armor. Still I would agree that it can be a little easy. Maybe change it to a recipe? 1 mutant flesh, 2 bones, and duct tape? Still uses stuff you can get easy enough but it's not just Gunnar Hansen them.

Option 2 - mutant skin needs to be hunt on the dryer rack before being worn. Wouldn't change how easy it is to get but would add a time element between aquizition and use. Would still keep it the relative same resource amount.

Already nerfed in the December patch :steamfacepalm:
Does the creepy armor still buy you some time with the enemies reluctant to attack you? If memory serves me proper, this was featured in "The Forest".

I use bone armor exclusively because of all the cannibals raiding the base.

I have hundreds of bones stashed away...

This game is a mess of imbalance and likely always will be - unless of course they add more sliders and toggles options to the game's mode options. Armour and weapons have always been imbalanced pretty bad.

At this point Endnight might as well add such an option to the boatload of other game options. Soon there'll be more game mode options to set than game options themselves, just to get a properly balanced play experience one would expect from a competent developer and survival game.

Endnight's game options additions are basically their way of saying, "We don't really know how to properly balance video games for the life of us so here's a bunch of options to let you do our job for us." 😂

Every thread you complain to no end about the game. Why keep playing it? I think everyone who reads these threads knows you dislike the game so no need repeating yourself over and over.

It was already severely nerfed after it was removed from puffys. I don't think it needs any more nerf.

I've got 2+ full shelves of creepy armor. I surrounded my "compound" with spinny traps, spear traps, and grinder traps, then turn on the solafite ore generator. Mutants spawn everywhere and get sliced, diced, ground up, and perforated. I get piles of creepy armor that way.

Ya and the reason why it was nerfed is because puffies are so common. However some mutants are basically free creepy armor. I remember I had a situation where 7 demons showed up at my base. I pull out the cross and without getting hit once killed all of them with the cross. 7 armor without spending any resources. Then there is the fingers which are so easy to kill. Shoot them in a leg and slice them with any weapon till dead.
