What are required steps to open hell cave?

I have the gold armor but the door doesn't open.

build the structure on the blueprint next to the door to "power up" your armor. You will need 12 solafite and mutants will attack you while it is happening so be ready.
I also think you need 6/7 pieces of the artifact.

I only had 5 pieces of the artifact and just finished the game.
