Solafite cross

Found the golden grave with big chunks of solafite. Is there any purpose of it? I can't do anything with the cross, is it a post-story thing?

So I keep finding these solafite chunks in the mountains. I've found 7 solafite sites overall, mabye there's more.
Does anybody know what are these?

use them for the last area. i guess thats kind of lore. but maybe i'm wrong on this.. it doesn't explain why you need it for the last area.

You need to make your screenshot public for the link to work. You'll find a pick axe eventually to mine the ore.

Sorry Steam interface is confusing, I updated the settings so now you should be able to see it. I've found like 8 solafite sites in the mountains, it doesn't seem like there's any use aside from getting solafite ores.
