To find the crash folder, you can paste this into your windows file explorer and then you can zip up the crash folder and email it to evan@endnightgames.com with a description of when you are crashing (On main menu, during load, after loading in and playing for a while, etc)
%temp%\Endnight\SonsOfTheForest
If you do not find a crash folder at the path above, try the following instead
appdata/Local/CrashDumps
Additionally, if you would be willing to provide a dxdiag dump to the email i provided, that would also help.
To get your dxdiag, you can do these steps:
1. press the windows key on your keyboard while on your desktop
2. type dxdiag
3. You should see a 'dxdiag' exe appear in "Best results". The icon is a blue circle with a yellow x. Click this
4. your pc will go through your hardware and drivers, and open a window with all of the data.
5. Click "Save All information" and then take that text file it generates and you can add it to the email with the crash dumps.
appdata/Local/CrashDumps" --> go check in there !

As far as I can tell, it has nothing to do with how powerful our computers are as I've tried to put the worst possible settings (everything on ultra low/low/off) and it keeps crashing. My wife's computer is not as powerful as mine and she doesn't have ANY issues playing the game so...
I've just updated my BIOS, Intel chipset and audio drivers (for mic only) even though I use a receiver (latest Nvidia HD audio drivers) and I will test now see how it goes. I disabled the mic under Windows audio settings because I saw there is one ingame that cannot be disabled but either "push-to-talk" or "always active". I'll keep in touch !
