Hire Farket. No, seriously. I demand it. Endnight would only benefit from it!
He's basically the based combination of the majority of Forest Players fused into a single being. The amount of customers he's brought to you from his YouTube channel's F + SOTF videos is staggering. (go ahead... give a few testers a break, and have them cross-reference the data) lol. For real he is the one that got me to purchase both games multiple times for friends and family and I think he should be considered at all costs (yes he points out the headaches most veteran players would like to see changed). The amount of time he's put into covering both games and all the updates, as well as his opinions on making the game/s better and ...hell what am I saying. I KNOW for a fact you devs are keen on his channel. He's the number 1 F/SOTF coverage you guys got on YouTube. GIVE HIM A JOB IN THE STUDIO!!! I'll buy any Forest game and DLC that gets his seal of approval. HIRE THIS MAN!!!!

EDIT: Okay maybe I was wrong lol. Maybe it wouldn't be a good idea.

I like Farket. But I do not share most opinions of his of the game. He basically plays this game non-stop. And because of that he has a very twisted vision of what the game should look like. For example, there is not enough grind for him and the island isn’t “filled enough” for him. I honestly think it is already extremely stuffed. So much that it feels artificial. But that is okay to me, because I like the non-grindy, less time-consuming approach of the game.

I do not have the time to grind my ass of in a game, or want to stumble upon event/location after location non-stop because developers felt they had to entertain me every 2 minutes in order to keep my attention span up.
SoTF gets often criticized for being less of a grind game than the first one. But that is honestly what I like most about the game. Its more about the great looking experience, the combat and the exploration. And not a wannabe survival simulator which I seen a ton of by now.

I do not want to eat in a game every 5 minutes to feel like I am surviving. Or craft tons and tons of repetitive stuff.

Thankfully it's too late for that, the game is going 1.0 today. I believe that building is so tedious in this game because they hired Farket for testing before game was released

He would censor half the game, so he could earn more money with it.
Nerevar Feb 21, 2024 @ 5:42am
no. he liked this game alot before early access and then changed his mind and said game is not as good as first one many times by now.

a good game doesnt need mindless hype. a bad one does.

No, I don't agree with his opinions on the game.

Endnight already reached out to him for his feedback while the game was in development.

farket was already hired. he hyped up the broke EA version into the clouds on his PAID VIDEO, then when game was release he kept ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on how bad SotF is.

Farket is amusing due to the boomer aussie playing computer game vibe he exudes (i know he's not a boomer, but he acts like one).

Beyond that. It took him literally months to figure out the flow state of the game, he diddnt even know you could retrieve tarps for a SUPER long time after saving. The point of his videos was to learn stuff. But anymore he just spams and does wierd stuff, playing with Lincoln log building. I unsubbed a long time ago.

Bottom line is streamers are cringe and only the most disconnected type of :acleap: watch any of them with regularity.

Man he couldn't figure out the directions logs are falling in the first game until season 3, literally 1000 hours in game. He still says that herb spawns in The Forest are random even tho they haven't been random at least since 0.72 when I started playing. For someone who spent so many hours testing things he missed pretty basic stuff.
He's kinda slow, if you know what I mean

I don't hate farket. But any content creator should NOT be the go to for any game dev company's source of creative input.

They sure as hell don't speak for me nor do they reflect my interests.

Why would any dev hire an incompetent whiny youtuber? Even if they do it's only for marketing purposes and not working on the actual game.
You guys are too obsessed with your e-celebs that have nothing to do with the games.

^ Steam needs upvotes..

Content creators have a voice but it doesn't mean we have to agree with them. It might be more of a problem than a solution in some cases.
