Why do my Rabbits not multiplying?

I build 2 big Rabbit cages put in each cage 2 and 3 Rabbits with leaves but they're not multiplying why?

They do not breed unless you rest. I'm not exactly sure what the percent chance of the breeding is, but in the Forest, I think it was 10%.

I haven't tried catching and breeding them but I imagine if you have long days/seasons set in custom it will take a while.

Also with The Forest there was some theory the rabbits may not be male and female - if you only have two in a cage - so you may need lots of rabbits in a cage to make sure you have both..

Why does Kelvin not feed them,i come back they all died lol.

you have to place food in the pen for them also does anyone know any easy way to catch the rabbits ??

yeah, 10% seems like the right number or is it the trees, maybe both. I built 3 of the big cages and put 2 rabbits per cage and now have 6 per cage, so it is working.

Day or season length has no effect, as it is triggered by resting.

The rabbit genders in both The Forest and Sons of the Forest are just like the animals and villagers in Minecraft: not a thing. All you need is 2.

Small animal traps where you see rabbits. I put them south of the crashed plane in the airfield.

You just need to put leaves in there. You just need to go whack some bushes for literally like a minute and you have enough food for several cages for days.
