Crashing/ Freezing
This is the sixth time it has frozen or crashed on me. I have only played six hours of this game and for it to crash six times is like it crashing once every hour. It is getting annoying. Is there a way to fix that issue because I would like to continue to play this game without that issue.

Having the same problem. There could be a setting conflict, but I'm 100% sure it's not my computer itself.

Trainers can cause this issue

It's definitely been crashing a lot more often for me since the last big update, a lot more than it was before.

I have been playing the (1.x) game for quite a few hours, not sure exactly how many but say average 5-8 hours pr. day the last 5 days and had no issues with the game what so ever.
Everything besides fog is maxed out at 4k

I believe you, but that doesn't mean that others don't have a problem with your system. And as you can see in my topic, there are bugs, even if they occur randomly, and others have them too, others not.

I also had phases where I could play for 1 hour or 2, but then also moments where it crashed instantly. And I've definitely only had this problem since the 1.0 patch. I've contacted the developers with my crash dump, maybe I'll find out more

and believe me, I have tried every conceivable solution to the problem so far without success. The only thing I haven't tried so far is to deactivate undervolting. I got this tip in another topic where it helped a user to fix the crashes.

But since I neither overclock nor have any hardware undervolted I don't know what exactly to do in the bios. My Specs you can see in my linked Topic. I don't have any problems in other games, not even in VR. I've actually only had these crashes in SOTF 1.0 since the update

the "volting" thing is a UE issue with the 13900K and 14900K you can read about it here: https://www.radgametools.com/oodleintel.htm

I have a i7 13700 and a 4090. But i have watched stream with someone on a i9 14900K (and 3080ti i think) and the game crashed constantly, when they turned off DLSS it ran for hours, but still often crashed a couple of times on starting the game..

The other day saw the game eating almost 15gb of ram after a few hours playing, I had to restart the game and just took 8gb.

I think the game has some kind of memory leak and crashes.

is also my guess
I had this happen many times, just now was the quickest it froze... loaded the game, picked up a stick Virginia gave me... game froze... Wasn't even in game for a minute. Meanwhile, last night, I played for multiple hours. So gonna leave the game for now until it's patched, I've lost too much time from the irregular freezing.

IF it had a memory leak it wouldn't stop at "15 gb" it would stop when the PC crashed for out a memory.
That a game use a lot of memory is normal, especially with games like this with tons of assets.

hi I also have a BIG prpblem since last Saturday (3rd march I Think) SotF is not playable/loading in the start screen (loading savegame).

The Game is freezing in the logo loading screen only to end/quit with ALT+F4. I tried so many things and tips I read but nothing worked also full reinstall of Sons of the forest !! Might be a compatibility issue of recent windows update (?). All sys. drivers are up to date but I wonder that the game was running perfectly until the freeze 3 days ago. I played without probs. on 4k screen on ultra settings it was running perfectly.

Anyone has any tips ?

EDIT:
before 3rd march all was running perfectly at me even with last patch/v. 1.0 on same specs..

This game doesnt have as much graphical load as Alan Wake 2 or Cyberpunk to eat 15GB of ram, the longer you have the game open, the more ram it consumes, which is not normal. I played in early access and I never had this problem, if 32GB of ram is insufficient for this game, something is wrong here, not even GTAV loaded with mods consumes 15GB
