Drying Rack - Disappearing Food

I've been having a problem when placing food on a drying rack. If you walk away from the rack for a bit and come back, food that was placed on there will disappear. Initially, I thought this was animals/enemies stealing it. But I've tried putting the rack inside it's own hut, that itself is inside an encampment, and the food still disappears. It doesn't even have enough time to dry. If I go out to scout for supplies and come back, almost all of the food will be gone. I even went so far as to put a scarecrow inside the hut where the rack is kept.

Anyone else having this issue?

Birds and Virginia seems to steal food right off the rack. Even if you put it inside your cabin. As of now, just do what i do, do all of your drying need inside a cave

I've seen punk eagles steal my food. I now have open season on those critters.

no it dries.... things will come steal from your racks. get use to it. i think kelvin eats from it also if you make him work too hard. if you live nest to a river it's not hard to fill up 10 of them

I'm experiencing the same issue. I had 12 fish disappear after a short excursion.

I'm convinced they are despawning off the drying racks. I could even see it happening: https://youtu.be/1LvBVZ259cE (2 seconds into video).

I don't believe I ever experienced this before 1.0 - I always had enough dried fish. Now I always seem to run out. I suspect only fish are susceptible, since the meat I placed on another drying rack was all still there.
