Virginia still needs no ammo or did it change with 1.0?

She just fearfully pointed at some of those gollom creatures, but I gave her a pistol and she is not shooting!?
Is that normal? Or should I give her ammo too?

It's normal, I think. How Virginia decides to shoot enemies is a bit of a mystery. Sometimes she could be getting manhandled by two mutants and Timmy himself and not bat an eye and other times it seems like she'll shoot at the first thing in her peripheral vision that grabs her attention.

Either way, you do not give her ammo, she should just shoot.

It's normal. Early on, even once you've armed her, Virginia will be afraid of cannibals and mutants because that's how she's survived this long alone. She should grow more confident in combat over time.
