Just wait till she shows up. When she does, put away everything. Do not hold anything. Just face her, and never walk towards her. You might even back away just a bit when she approaches. She will shy away the first few times, then show up again. Do this until she befriends you and doesn't run. Then give her something. And, when she comes to you later, put away any weapons and stand still. And when she brings you something, take it with appreciation.
What do you mean give her something? Don't i have to have her befriended first before i can give her something?

Read it again - after she befriends you, give her something to confirm the friendship. You should be able to tell that she decides to like you because she doesn't run away, and also you can see the icon option to give her something if you get close to her.

This proven false in a video. Having a weapon out doesn't lower affinity with her. Just don't approach her while trying to gain affinity.

I've seen her act scared of me at certain times after I gained full trust, like when I butchered a critter she brought me. So I figure it would help or at least be a safe strategy. But maybe not, I don't really know.
Okay i see, but thats the thing ive spent all my time trying to befriend her. Done as you said first by standing still and backing away when she approtches. But she won't bring me anything. Like i said i've spent the last 2 days all day doing nothing but wait for her to show up and get comfortable

She might not bring you anything immediately. Does she still run away eventually shortly after showing up?

She loves if you have berries to eat - build a planter and plant some berries in it. Maybe you need a bed too, some place to sleep. I think she likes that too.

Nah. Its simply already proven that having ones weapon out doesn't reduce affinity with her so no point in doing that.
No it takes her awhile before she runs off

You might already be friends. She'll run off sometimes even after befriending. She might just get bored. Provide some berries via a planter, and have a crafted bed. She also likes to be near a river, if you aren't near one, she's running off to bathe. Go up to her and see if you get the option to give her something.
I will try and walk up to her then, and i am near a river and i do hae a few planters wit bluebarries

ok cool. keep us updated.

p.s. - be on the lookout for her gesturing to you as if she wants you to follow her somewhere. she will show you something. make sure you're not missing that and that's why she runs off.
