Forest 3?

After completing Sons, I'm waiting for Forest 3 or should I wait for DLC for Sons of Forest?

Id imagine they would update the game over the next year or two. Forest 3 wont come out for a long time, personally i'd say at least 5 years. I dont think a DLC would be a thing for a game like this either.

the game is 1.0, so most major features are done. But this feels like bait

just take a look what happened to The Forest after it left early access.
i hope they learned their lesson here and never make another sequel nor prequel

Well sons was really just a dream as timmy was well cold and dead long time since. Forest was ruined by the slug/worm mutant and sons didnt happen so part 3 could be a lost series variant of the game maybe?

I'd want a third installment to be more focused on primitive wilderness survival, very little modern stuff, with elements and monsters to deal with of course, whatever the story would be.

O don't think they do DLCs.
I rather expect a new game in a couple of years.

Expect a few patches, no major new content and a new game in some years.
Don't expect SOTF being a live service game.
