Any drawbacks to going full cannibal from Day 1 on?
Ever since I discovered Greg Stew I can't get enough of Greg, but it doesn't make sense for the main character to immediately start chowing down on cannibal limbs as soon as you land. Does it have any effects on your character/endings?

Nah. Unlike the first game, you don't go insane, although I, too, am crazy about Greg Stew. It's finger-lickin' good!!

Even in the first game sanity had little to no effect as I understand.
Second. I personally recommend just keeping the pan for water unless its any season but winter and you have water collectors at all your bases.

I always carry around a full pot and full canteen of clear water, but I usually find so many energy drinks that being thirsty is never a problem.

For all his faults, you know, eating people and everything, Greg is a real renaissance man

Yes, but not that much compared to pure water. And usually I like to refill my water every time I get to another base. And I often found myself in situations were I was not quite ready to use a Greg buff yet, but I wanted to refill it. Water can be refilled without sacrificing much whenever you get the chance. However I can see it being better if:

1. Going to do a lot of tree cutting

2. At every base you have about 3 water collectors and its not winter.

3. You are going into caves. Since people usually prepare before going in caves stalking up on sodas and you can also have some water in a printed flask. Plus caves usually have water that you can boil.

But for simply exploring or wandering around collecting stuff(especially during winter) I think its better to simply fill it up with water. But it really depends on the exact game plan. If someone doesn't plan on sleeping much for example then liquid battery is a good option.

Pretty sure you're right. I think literally the only thing sanity was tied to in the original was unlocking the ability to make totems. No disadvantages. I was kinda disappointed to see that mechanic dropped completely in this game, but I guess it's better than it being half-baked.

Green hell though. It does have a sanity meter that actually has negative impacts on the game.

Survival wise that game definitely has some 1 ups on SotF.
Venom, Poison, Hallucinations(insanity), Exhaustion, Worms, Leeches, Open wounds.
Imagining that in SotF, it would be legendary.

None what so ever. This game has little to no consequence for any action made by the player. There's nothing to be afraid of trying or doing because there are no substantial consequences.

Can you just eat him in the evening and respawn him the next morning for chores, like collecting the dried greg and putting fresh greg on the drier?
