Trap 'upgraded' by solafite still got broken by mutant - bug or by design?

Don't remember where, but I read that enchanting buildings with solafite was supposed to make them indestructible, yet my multi-trap got broken by an armsy.
Question is, is that a bug or are only wooden structures like walls and such meant to be indestructible?

It only doubles the resistance. It won't make it invincible.

You've got me there. No, I haven't read the game's lore.

But back to my question: how do you "enchant" traps and buildings? Heck, I enchant all my weapons for the free mutant armor I get (nothing like a few extra gore couches and gore chairs to get my house into the latest House Beautiful magazine).

Once you beat the game and get the last artifact piece you can assemble the artifact. Use the artifact to enhance built items and to use the teleporter and other blueprint items.

OK, I get it. The second mode for the assembled artifact is to point it at something and Goldfinger it.

aw that's sad.. i thought it was a nice compromise between having building damage on :(
