edit: the racks are fine, it's the raccoons. lake base, lots of raccoons, cannot keep fish(meat is left alone) on the rack. base on the beach, no raccoons, fish stay and actually dry on the rack
There are still bugs and glitches in the game that have been around since the game dropped into Early Access. People have reported them many, many times. Hard to say if there is a fix on the radar with all the issues they ignored through out Early Access to present day. May never get fixed like many things in The Forest that never got fixed because they were too lazy and loaded with cash to care. Don't expect fixes anytime soon. They didn't care a year ago and they certainly don't care now or they wouldn't have left this gone unfixed for so long. Maybe one day they'll get to it when they feel like it.
I'm enjoying slaughtering the thieving raccoons. fck those guys and their shifty little faces
The scarecrows help a little bit with the birds.
They don't eat fish or meat, I wish they would. They eat arms and legs from the cannibals if you hang them on there.
You can put your drying racks inside bunkers or inside cave entrances. Not optimal I know but until they balance this out which I strongly think they should, it's a short term solution.
