They should add swimming for them in a hotfix. It would be more realistic because trash pandas are sneaky and determined when it comes to stealing food.

Does it irk anyone else that racoons were featured front and center and they add literally nothing to the game?

I killed one, couldn't skin it and it dropped nothing of value at all. Then I felt bad for killing one.

They did add a lot to the game at release but those raccoons are the most aggravating enemy on the game in my opinion haha ! The ending was all new and awesome so ... made the hairs on my arms stand up the first time .

At least they have become an abundant food source since they are EVERYWHERE. I'm wondering if it's on purpose, everywhere I look I see raccoons. I usually don't bother trying to hunt unless its fish because I play on Hard Survival and I barely see animals sometimes but they are just taking over the island and giving me drying racks stocked with their meat.

Raccoons are stealing these food types in game ( fish , cannibal parts ) they wont steal meat that came from ( deer , birds , squirrels , turtles , rabbits or the meat you get off their bodies ) this is very aggravating because the food buffs you can get from those 2 items are really good . Endnight knows this already and its why they steal it but , its not realistic for raccoons to just reach way up in the air and steal food .

Yeah I think they went a bit too far with the raccoons. At least lower their reach.

Putting drying racks out in the lake on a platform, in a locked room, or in a treehouse - none of this works. Raccoons steal all the fish for sure. Meat eventually disappears too, maybe from eagles. I think drying racks are useless now.
