change of season
Are the seasons supposed to change abruptly when you exit and enter the game? Or is there a transition while you play? because in my game it only changes after several days if I re-enter the game

yes, but if you annoyed bec of winter, you can use console commands to change the season

season summer
season autumn

season spring

Just type cheatstick on your keyboard to activate the console, press F1 and write there which Season you want.

From what I recall, seasons by default are like 3 days. Then you sleep and wake up and it’s the next season. This can be changed when creating a new game. But only to “long” which I think is 6-7 days between seasons, or “realistic” which I’m pretty sure is actually real-life time.

Either way, you still will just wake up one morning and it will be a new season.

A slow transition would be nice, such as how Project Zomboid does seasons. It is a bit strange to just wake up one morning and suddenly there’s snow on the ground and lakes are frozen.

Weird. Any time I’ve played it never seemed smooth. I could tell when autumn was since trees change color. Then it would just be winter when I woke up from sleeping. This just happened to me and my friend a few days ago.
