Lights and Electricity
Does anyone know how the hell the electricity and lights work in this game? I havent been able to figure out any of them aside from the wind driven light

The guide tells you. Set down a solar panel and you can use it to connect to a stick fence with copper wire to make it an electric fence or connect it to that big cross with all the light bulbs (which becomes crazy bright. If you only use the solar panel the cross will only light in the day. Need the golf cart battery also to light during the night). Book also tells you how to hook up a bulb from a beam in the same way.

One thing to add. Light bulbs so far that I have seen only work when placed under structures logs of stone structures. Which is ashame since placing them on trees on the sides or sticks or even on the floor would be a nice option.

I'm still unsuccessful seeing the blueprinted spotlight work. I need to try a different place and see if it works there, but so far nothing. I've checked and a light installed on the same log works. I've attached a wire from the spotlight to the same log, but nothing happens.

BUILD LOG WALL, THEN CHOOSE SOLAR PANEL, THEN CHOOSE WIRE, THEN CHOOSE BULB

They can be a pain to get to work, some times it can take me 3 or 4 times to place the wire on the correct spot, so remove the wire and try again and it will make a powering up sound when you get it right.

Its explained in the survival book.
Make sure to set up enough solar panels with batteries.

I had issues with the wiring. Loop it from panel - to log - back to panel in the simplest form. You know you have it correct because you will hear like a charge up sound when you make the final connection back to the panel. I've also had some runs (like up then back down a gable end) that I just could not get to energize.
