Bodies hanging from trees
The bodies hanging from trees is a new addition from what was in the beta. I will clear the bodies from a forest around my base, go to sleep, and find that there's more bodies hanging from the trees.

The bodies can really add up because it can be like 30% of the trees that are "tagged" with dead bodies. What are the mechanics of this feature? Is there a way to mitigate it other than having to go out like Smoky the Bear and clean up the forest?

I was hoping that the slash and burn solution wasn't the only valid option because I do like how the flora and fauna look in this game. Thanks for the input. I wish there was a way to disable them if burning the forest down is the only way.

I tend to build in locations where the tree-body spawns are minimal (they start to smell after awhile...ew-w-w-w!). Removing the tree and stump is the only solution for long-term riddance of this relatively new game feature.

I'm hoping they add an option to disable it or reduce it. Perhaps a feature where if I tag the trees in some way the cannibals will stop.

If you are running a game with no enemies, do the bodies still spawn on trees?

I just started a peaceful game and there are bodies in the trees all over the north beach.

I'm mostly annoyed you can't recover the rope.

As far as I can tell, some trees just always have dead bodies attached. There's one right by my base which I can chop down, & whenever it regrows, it comes with the bodies.
In other words, I don't believe any enemy puts the bodies on trees as they do with effigies. Certain trees just spawn with them.

Silly me thinking it wasn't the tree's fault for growing bodies. Time to chop down the cursed ones
