Food not cooking?

I seem to be having a bug today, any food i place on the fire doesnt seem to cook, or even burn. Ive had 2 fish and 2 raw meat on my fire for about 3 minutes, its sizzling, but not cooking. The only thing ive done differently on this save is that length of day is set to realistic. Does that affect cook time too somehow?

That's a big 10-4, good buddy. The accelerated time for an unmodified playthrough gives the perception that the water boils clean and food cooks and dries reasonably quickly. Not so if you change the time.

Yup. That's your problem if you want to call it that. Putting it on realistic makes things take pretty much realistic times. The cooking is the first thing I noticed when I tried a game on that mode. I had to wait at least 5 minutes for it to cook food. And boiling water seemed to take forever.

Forget realistic you will go insane put it back to normal.
