But this exists now since a couple of patches ago. I recall on my other account having noticed that some tree structure was not placed always at the same height, and it was depending on some trees.
As far as I recall, this came when a patch solved an exploit where you could use the template for starting a tree-house, put a couple of logs, then cancel the building... receiving in return the full load of logs allowing you to generate large amounts of logs.
And, new trees and collision system were also placed in some parts of the map.
However, when placing now a tree-house template, I mostly found regular height - same as usual - and a few with weird placement, say a meter above ground which is not really safe...
The problem occurs only on, say, 5% of the trees (i.e. few), in some locations on the map, and tree houses are still very nice to have in some spots. Especially with Kelvin now much much less dangerous...
