Plastic bins and buckets
Why can't we use the various buckets in the large plastic bins from the crash site to collect and store water especially during the winter when everything freezes over and you die of thirst every 3 minutes? Just wondering it seems like it would make sense I mean if I was in that situation I'd be grabbing up the cases the bins the buckets everything and all the stuff at the campsites too.

I did put a suggestion across that we be able to craft a water barrel or some such. Some way to store a large amount of water - obviously not movable, a base object.

Given the lack of use for power (just fences and lights), it would be really good if you could link it up and use copper wire to make it heated - i.e. not freeze in winter.

Water isn't exactly hard to get at all, but this would be more handy once you've a base setup.

That's coming in the 1.0 release in Feb.

the buckets would make sense to use for traps, sap collectors, long term water storage, etc etc

as for the bins, I can't see those serving any other purpose other than loot drops like they are currently. definitely would like to pick them up even if they were solely decorative for your base

I know in the files, you were able to pick up those worksite lanterns in the caves, maybe they have something else planned.

Hunch really.

I just assume it's so given the volume of requests like this on these forums since EA release.

Because it wasn't part of the asset packs they bought for the game.. It won't make anymore money in early access now so it be 1.0 released this month and than they can ding dong ditch it for the new Forest game next year for early access and be broken once again because "its new" & "Its innovative".. lmao..
