House isn't considered a house on the map
I built a nice 2 story house, put the big bed in it, i've slept in it, saved with it, etc. but it's not considered a house? there's no marker on the map, and i can't tell Kalvin to "Stay at shelter" which is annoying cause he keeps eventually following me far on the island, and like getting attacked. even if i tell him to stay "here". why isn't it considered a shelter?? has a bed, fireplace, walls, roof etc.
Also noticing that my slanted roof on one side, i had to still build like a normal wall inside of it and yet STILL in winter my house says im cold even when inside?

Not enough $ made on the game for them to put in that kind of effort.

You can mark your house (or any other thing, for that matter) by vertically placing a stick near or on the house, then attaching a GPS marker to it.

That doesn't solve the Kelvin instruction issues, and my homes (usually) show on the map without having to use a GPS marker.

It would be nice to know what the game mechanics consider a house.

Do you have multiple bases?

If you want to put a "house" marker on the GPS, just use a tarp to make a tent. As far as I know, that's the only object that uses the house icon. In my opinion, beds should show up on the GPS because they're functionally the same as tents.

This appears to be the only solution for now.

As I said, the GPS marker is a second solution.

Yeah only problem with GPS markers is they're kinda expensive to craft and some of the icons really don't show up very well.

this seems like a personal problem... i mean think ABOUT IT your a trained professional but YOUR IN THE WILD having expensive tools count can be a bit of a real life issue, not to mention, CAN YOU DO IT?? if you don't think you personally can build 1 arrow in less than 10 sec without breaking the shaft, i don't wanna hear how expensive or difficult it is to make something, ESPECIALLY if its tech related .-_.- also about the houses i think it should be fixed love the realistically of it all tho

no, i had a house on the beach, but moved basically all of it from the beach up onto the cliffside ,and made a new house here, with my bed and wall, etc. so, the remnants of the old structure are just remnants barely anything there. this is my only actual bed, except some tents that have been built around the world here and there and never taken down.

also, what's considered a "DONE" wall.. like, i have angled parts of my roof (which is a mechanic the game made possible) and the inside of that angled part is a finished wall too so like, the house is fully built up... yet in the winter i'm COLD if near those walls at all... which makes no sense

As far as house icons, only the tent has it built in. It's not like the forest when you put a shelter down that had a bed that the icon would show up. Now you have to do it manually with GPS markers.

And as far as the house still saying you're cold. Having a slanted roof isn't considered a structure that keeps you warm in winter. It would have to be a flat roof to not have rain/snow show up inside which also makes the game think you're outside and cold in winter.

Hopefully at least the roof will be something they fix at launch. It's been like that since early access started. The winter jacket also doesn't keep you warm in winter. They haven't fixed that either.
