Is SOTF at least scary now?

The thing I love the most of The Forest was how you felt stalked and observed all the time + the random distant screams sent chills. But this game feels so washed out and now with mutants every 10 seconds I doesn't really feels scary.

Although the game is still basically barebones building and surviving wise, I'm hoping that at least they brought back the fear factor.

It is worrying they will be considering this game already done in a month and a half lol.

Nothing about being raided or exploring had my nerves up even a little.

I love the game but scary? haha no, barely even any suspense.

In fact I sort of laugh at the idiots trying to take my log away and may stand back to watch them fail at being AI

It is more funny than anything. Like the cannibals wearing human clothes and These weird "Armor". The creepy Armor is the funniest Thing.
And the caves are too linear and boring. There could be No light at all, whitout torches and stuff and you still Had figured it Out in a Short time.

Nothing scary about this Game ...

Yea caves are kinda spooky, but not scary.

In fact I feel The Forest was scarier. AI also seemed to be a bit better somehow? Like in sotf mutants/cannibals generally just...wail on buildings while ignoring me. And since I have no building damage (i hate all that work getting destroyed as I don't have all the time in the world to play) that doesn't do anything. And when they do attack me they do one attack combo and back off again. Or for mutants the attack combo is so long/slow I can just side-step and hit them in the back.

I think our characters are way more scary then any of the enemies, especially when you put on the skin suits lmao.

I've personally used the shotgun a grand total of once on some mutant babies. And used grenades/timed bomb for the last 2 "bosses" of the game. Outside of that it has been axe and katana only. Still not scary.

I once got scared in the night driving through the forest with the Knight V :D I was playing with my headset and i heard strange sounds from the cannibals.

the answer is no. fanboys killed this game. its now your average mainstream trash and will never be better than the first game thanks to bois saying "ITS FINE AS IS" so endnight did what i expected : declared it done and went 1.0.

funny fact : the same fanboys where screaming HURR DURR ITS GONNA BE IN EARLY ACCESS FOR YEARS 6 months ago. the same user names. you can tell. bois kill games. always. no exceptions.
