It's a challenge. Now you have to kill them and build effigy from their bodies to assert dominance.

I'd argue it's a warning/intimidation sign. You'll have to build up base defenses and prepare yourself as they will keep visiting you and gradually become aggressive.

All I have right now is just 1 line of walls. not even half of a circle, a hunting hut, some rain catchers, couple meat drying racks and some bone storages. That's it, it's crappy lol. I like building stuff but I suck at it same time. It's hard to have some imaginations these days, and the building mechanic little hard to play with. I think devs need to improve the Quality of life a little, make the building is little easier to the eyes, easier to browse.

What should I build next? but by the way, how many days for a season? I think I'm in fall season right now, and I got only 2 meats left lol.

Throw a bow together, craft some arrows and practice your aim. Maybe craft a load of spears cause they having a throwing arc so really easy to land hits. Fighting wont get crazy hard until you're many more days in.

You can put down traps and spikes (a stick reinforced with rocks and sharpened with an ax) around your base. If you do get overwhelmed, you can run into a cave and wait for a while as enemies can't chase you from there (and cave entrances don't have any enemies as long as you don't wander in too deep. There's also the bunkers in which after you clear them of enemies, they don't respawn).

You can also build electric fences, though that takes more time and resources (you will need a lot of wires, a solar panel, and batteries).

I think each season lasts for 5 real time hours if you aren't playing on realistic (I forgot how many in-game days) but anyone is free to correct me on that.
