if it is hold it down the 2nd time
while holding the firewood look down at the ground, you should see a small square outline to place it down. Once one piece of firewood is placed, you will get a prompt to add more. You can keep adding more until it is built up into a pile. While stacked they will not despawn and you simply use the deconstruct/ remove key or button to grab a piece and can then replenish your campfires.
Except outside my structure. I can stack firewood on the ground, but not inside. That's sad.
You can't Stack firewood inside, for whatever reason.
You can only make a workaround. Took Out the Floor, place the firewood high and place in the Floor again.
Yeah, the only way to place a firewood stack indoors is if the floor is just above the ground, I remove the floor planks and make the pile, then replace the floor. It looks great and is the only way to have firewood inside.
