Stone Floors?

So far I'm loving the stone building update, but it looks like we're not able to make stone floors. That makes me super sad. Let us build stone floors :(

Yeah I agree. I can't seem to make stairs either as well. I'm super sad about this as well but there is a lot that I like out of this update. The stones, cooking pot, and improvements on the sled amazing and those stone issues probably will get updated next but we will have to wait 26 days or so =)

You take the mossy stone, the big flat ones you can only hold 3 of, and just stack them like you would a log wall.

You can make stone diagonal/support beams for staircase but not stone steps, true.

This is an EA. We provide feedback for things we want to see. There's nothing impatient about what I posted. I'm hyped for this update, I'm adding a suggestion of a feature I'd love to see, which is the entire point of EA.

I'd also love to see the ability to extend the chimney of the stone fireplace up so that it can come out the roof. Absolutely loving what the devs have delivered so far

So far, its not all the same on stones as logs. There are some stone to log transitions that can accommodate variations, but to my knowledge no door or window cutout specifically in only stone. From a practicality standpoint, we'd probably need a new tool to chisel out of stones, or the ability to ghost fill where they stacked around. Here's some shots from tinkering in one of my builder games.

MacGyver knows. Trust the Duck Tape king. It will happen. Just needs a little Duck Tape.

Clever! I like it. It is funny how the solution to make something ends up being making something else and then breaking it. I've found this in a few other things with building as well. Thanks for the tip here. can you fill in the bottom with logs/stones the way you can with an all log staircase?

I discovered this as well and it seems I did so by accident. It doesn't seem to allow you to build with stones down at an angle or remove a log column to allow the stone beam to drop down. But you can support the beam with a log strut, then remove one vertical pillar, then remove the strut and the stone beam will fall down at an angle.

Yes but it won't fill just the triangle below, it will fill full-width wall. But sometimes it is desired.
