Fn Lock, F1 key, console / developer mode won't come up

Hi, my friend is using an HP keyboard that came with their gaming desktop, and they can't bring up the developer mode / console with their F1 key after typing 'cheatstick' into the game chat in our multiplayer game. I can do it no prob. We both updated to the latest version of the game today.

When they press F1, it mutes the system audio, as that's the Function icon on the F1 key. When they hold down the Fn key and press F1, the console doesn't come up either. Looked high and low to disable the Fn lock on their keyboard and PC, tried BIOS settings, key combos, but no dice.

They even plugged in another keyboard with no Fn stuff on the F1 to F12 keys and the console didn't come up in the game. The HP keyboard was disconnected so it probably didn't have any influence on the system.

i have a 100% keyboard and it does not work for me either

The keyboard has to be set to English US for the console to work. Set your keyboard options to that, restart the game and try again.
