Mutant Takeover?
How come like 90% of the villages in my save have been taken over by mutants? Is this happening to anyone else and does culling their population in the caves have an effect on this?

The more cannibals you kill, the more mutants will spawn in their place. The more mutants you kill, the more cannibals spawn

Sry not correct. Roderic was right. And thats was the dev even sayed in an interview. When u open a sealed cave increase the mutant spawn. Mutant will attack canibals. So when u have all caves open u get mostly mutants and some canibal raids.

i seen a vid where a guy tested something - if you completely destroy a cannibal village and kill all of it's cannibals, then later mutants take it over. did you destroy these villages?

I destroyed maybe one or two, left the rest untouched.

I knew about this but didn't realize it would have a drastic effect like this. Interesting, the mutants are starting to take over the island at this point since I've explored every cave available.

i hope they can't ultimately take it all over...i will miss the cannibals. they have personality.
