Would any of you and your friends be willing to try some things to help debug this? Getting player log files from both the client experiencing the issue, and the host will help us see where the problem is, but we need some additional debug information that the normal logs don't provide.
If you are willing to do a couple steps to set up logging, and send us the player.log file afterwards, here are the instructions:
Both Host and client have to do these steps
1. Open your steam library, right click Sons, select properties, and in the 'general' tab add "--logging" without quotes to the Launch Options field.
2. Locate the config file for the game: To find your config files; paste the following into the windows file explorer: %localappdata%\..\LocalLow\Endnight\SonsOfTheForest
3. Open the Text file in that folder named 'SonsGameSettings.cfg' and paste the following into it (Click the space right after any '},' press enter, and paste)
{
"Name": "RuntimeStructureDbLogVersionChanges",
"BoolValue": true
},
4. Both host and client load the save, and both players stand idle after loading in. Wait several minutes to see if the structures ever load in.
5. After waiting a while you can close the game, and send the player.log files, as well as saves from both host and client to evan@endnightgames.com
After some time I noticed the problem reoccurring when I started dismantling a structure. So I reloaded construction file again and for now it hasn't presented me with the problem anymore.
There might be some bug with some trunk in current structure.
If I have time and if the problem recurs I'll try to send you the logs.
if you replace the "construction" file all manual constructions with logs will be restored.
Of course keep a backup of your world saved.
In fact now every day I make a manual backup of my save. So if the problem occurs, I just replace the construction file and at most I lose some construction progress.
Ive run into the issue though, Ive fixed by using my axe to destroy it then it works fine after that.
