I found a way to build:
1. Place the roof (the frame)
2. save the game
3. exit the game
4. load the last save
5. place your planks
...but why? :(
the only fix i found is to save and leave the game then reload that saved game.
it will temporarily let you build a ramp/stairs again and then something will trigger it again.
this needs a serious hotfix, because it's game breakingly annoying.
1. disable cloud sync for sons of the forest
2. navigate to %username%\AppData\LocalLow\Endnight\
3. rename(for backup) the "SonsOfTheForest" Folder into e.g. "_SonsOfTheForest"
4. enable cloud sync
5. start the game
now i can build as before the patch
It did not work for me.
The game will create a completely new profile. Maybe this solves the problem
If you do not re-enable cloud sync, your saved games will not show up.
**edit. so just after i posted this, i did something in-game that fixed this, and its been fine for the last hour so far. so a ramp or staircase requires two logs (plus others, but theyre irrelvant here, we all kno how the base ramp works) to be at 45 degrees, i took an additional log and propped one of my 45's to be a 90 degree, and then removed them all, added back my 45, and now everything works totally fine.
