How the heck... Spring traps?? 🤔
Can anyone with more engineering skill than me explain how some sticks and wire would turn a turtle shell into a launch pad?? 🤔
I mean so far there's least SOME reality aspect to the game, but this...?
Or is this supposed to be just a vidjoe game gimmick of some sort?

Here's me thinking that wouldn't work whatsoever... Or would it?

What exactly is the reality aspect of me jumping down a mountain with nothing more than a 3D printed piece of plastic that protects me?

For me that at least sound less realistic then someone forming some spring from sticks and a wire....but maybe you're living in another reality then me?

Totally true. Not arguing the weird physics. I meant more like reality about crafted stuff.

in real life I also run as fast as deer to then kill them with an axe and eat their meat while its raw
this also heals me a little if I'm hurt

Who cares. There’s mutants and demons. It’s just fun and games at the end of the day. If you aren’t super fond of such items, the best advice i can give you is to simply not build them, but then again. You won’t be building much of anything, since you don’t own the game

That's very much true and I probably won't until it's gonna be on a serious discount.
Still following tho, since I was a fan of the first game.
Anyway, to make it easier on the question I have -
How are those supposed to work??
Just that. I'm not an outdoorsy kinda guy or bushcrafting or anything.
That question was just out of curiosity, but it seems there's nothing too it other than vidjoe games logic then and that's also an answer.

It wouldn't work. The sticks would probaly snap by the turtle shell alone, let alone anymore weight.
It's the same with building houses in this game. We just plunsh stumps into each other or the ground. This would NEVER work. It would probaly hold a slight wind, but it would be crocked af and you could not put anything on them or stuff.

I'm not an engineer, just common sense and lot's of Youtube streams in the background about a dude building Loghouses in the woods while cleaning and stuff xD.

This is why i always laugh at people here bringing up excuses of Realism for stuff like the super dark night's or tree regrowth and stuff. Even the dev's defend some stuff with "realism". It's a bad joke ...

If you want realism and a better survival game, green hell is really good.

Yep. Green Hell set the bar pretty high when it comes to survival games. When I first started playing it, I always got bitten by snakes. LOL
