How to build a roof
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to build a roof for my hut. The book instructions are total gibberish and no matter where I aim the split log I'm holding I get no prompt to place it.

So you can either make a flat "roof" in basically the same way you make floors, our you can make an angled roof by basically making a ramp on top of your building. Either way, filling in the roof is easier if you make a way to climb up on top of your building.

I've tried both. I have a big ass cube of logs 7 logs high. No matter where I aim I get no arrow prompts to place anything. Can't lay logs against it for the angled roof, can't place them on top for flat. It just doesn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ work.

Watch some YouTubers how they do things. That is how I learned. Before you know it, youll be building huge log cabins and log castles.

Post a screenshot. People can only guess what you're doing wrong.

I finally figured out how to build a roof, decided I wanted a second floor and now it won't let me built stairs. This has got to be the least intuitive building system ever ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ designed.

If you’re trying to have the stairs against an exterior wall, you would have to add the stair framing before the wall.
If it’s an interior staircase not touching an exterior wall, you need to make sure there are no standing logs or ceiling support logs behind it or it will connect instead of building the ramp
