I think the setings are a bit buggy at the Moment.
But yeah, there are settings where you can run the amount and all. You can also custumize lenght of day and all.
It's not just the question "I can't finish my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cabin before night". It's also the question "can you stop bothering me when I want to concentrate on something, especially after quite a few kills".
Totally agreed.
I had enemies low in all values and they were harder than on TV.
Yeah, there are Tons of threads like yours. I myself Talked about this and made suggestions in the pinned thread, because it's ridiculous. But the devs don't seem to care.
It's also not important where you Set Camp. They will swarm you everywhere. At least in my games this was the case. From beach to Mountain.
i classicaly build my home near alot of cannibal crap :D
i didn't even check that
lol is there anything left that isn't buggy?
earlier in the morning i logged in to see if my Kevin was unbugged/unstuck yet.. and those pale mutants just jumped over my palisade wall.
i don't remember them doing that, wtf, only the slinky could ignore wall. everything basebuilding is so pointless
Why? What's the pros to build cabin in or near cannibal camps?
Except for the enemy amount. BTW, the first reply of this thread says that the settings don't actually work.
- shoreside, as far out in the water it's possible to build
- certain cliffsides (if you can reach those)
- snow zone - usually in the mountains with no trees around (gotta transport those logs by wire or walk.
Alternatively you can camp in bunkers with their sleep/save if you aren't up for base building.
To stay away from enemy spawn zone, there must be no bridge or access to your base shoreside in waters. Any log that reaches the dry sand will trigger enemy spawning

Noted with thanks! But... I created a new save with Custom difficulty, and set all the enemy settings to low. Then I went to a small cannibal camp to see how it goes. I saw a cannibal with a hammer, he stared at me and kept a certain distance. I wanted to piss him off to see how what would happen, so I just collected everything from the camp in front of him. He really seemed to be pissed off and walk toward me, and struck me with his hammer. God... 70% of my health points gone away with just ONE hit. Even worse, I was knocked off on the ground, and I couldn't even hit back before I got killed.
Well, it seems that some enemy options might work, e.g. the hostile option, but I'm not quite sure if other options work.
