Yes we already have a lot more mods for this new game than the previous one. Every week you see more mods pop up.
I used one of the large rocks, scaled it bigger, moved it into the ocean and positioned it to where it goes down to the ocean floor. You can build on most rocks. The large prefab buildings didn't work on it so I made a small cottage from scratch. The prefabs need a really flat surface in order to build.
I did all of this myself not using anyone's mod. There might be a map editor mod but I have not tried it yet. You can do this in unity explorer too but it won't save it after you exit game.
