If he knew how to code he could make hes own mod for it.
Wasn't a big zip-liner in The Forest either. Built a base on one of the little islands, turned out to be the 2nd best build behind the House Boat, as it was pretty much unassailable, except by the cannibals with the flaming tennis balls, but there were trebuchet for dealing with them.
Zip line was great for getting lumber down to the island, because swim-tossing it too forever.
In Sons, yeah, just not a lot of actual use for it for me.
Normal in the game, you cant.
It's a must have for transporting logs. Build log holders under it and they fill themselves. I find it great.
It works completely the same as limited one, it's just longer and there is great chance your logs will despawn if you send them halfway across the island

Here is a youtube link on how to do it. Takes a little setting up and editing files but can be done.

You can still use it to send logs to your base from high locations.
Yeah, worked ~16h form the north big lake down to the octopuss lake. A cross the big mountain. Had also to transport all the log on top of the mountain.
