Caterpillar Monster Bug

The caterpillar monster flips right through log walls and through the flooring. There appears to be no structural defense against this monster. I built a two-story structure with the first floor being on the second level with a two-doorway enclosed hallway ramp to the entrance. The first floor of the structure is on the second floor, so monsters shouldn't be able to get in. Other monsters and cannibals can't get in, but the caterpillar flips right through log walls and comes through the flooring. Then when the caterpillar got in my structure, I went into a room that I made around my bed (full log walls, locked door), and the caterpillar flipped right through the walls into the room.

Caterpillar doesn't like water, yeah he will go in water but he comes right back out. I built my base at the top and bottom of a waterfall and Mr. Caterpillar never reaches into my base. Partly because my three rows of spikes have killed him every time he comes around.

I've gone deaf from it so it's a non issue now.
