If the wrecked yacht were still around, they probably have one onboard. Just need a couple golf cart batteries, and a way to recharge them, and that would work.
Otherwise, to desalinate the sea water, you'd have to go beyond boiling, and all the way to distilling to remove the salt content to make it drinkable, as salt water causes dehydration and dehydration causes your thirst gauge to flash red.
Lacking drinkable water is what keeps me away from building into the mountains, and i found such a nice place there :)
