Which has killed the viability of shotgun slugs but not buckshot as much. Pretty odd way of balancing it.
I have seen videos of a bolt-action hunting rifle that isn't released yet. So far, it's unfinished as the weapon is completely broken but it does have sounds and animations put into it. There's also an air-rifle which is fully modeled but it can't even be picked up and I assume it will be a weaker variant but it should be easier to obtain.
There's even rumors about night vision goggles being added as well and it would be nice to use in the night and in caves. For balance, I'm sure it will require batteries.
Yeah I don't why Endnight balanced the shotgun like the way it is now. Usually, slugs would be more powerful and have better accuracy but even if it's better at hitting targets at longer ranges, the damage is too low to be useful. It felt like I was firing literal blanks at enemies.
Meanwhile, buckshot is still good despite the nerf and the spread is surprisingly tight for what it is. To balance it, they would have to increase the pellet spread and increase the damage of shotgun slugs and possibly their range too.
Same here. Slugs right now are too unappealing to use and I think they're even more common than buckshot unless I am mistaken.
I think it was intended for slugs to be better until Endnight nerfed the shotgun itself which in turn, made slugs complete trash.
Inaccuracy is mainly due to how awfully the player "aims" the shotgun at a wierd angle. To use guns in this game you almost have to forget evreything about shooting and relearn the wacky mechanics behind each gun. The shotgun experiences this the worst and trying to land a slug accurately does indeed require extremely close ranges.
But damage seems... acceptable.
From what? The revolver? The pistol does abysmal damage. And 9mm absolutely should not be performing that well.. esp out of a revolver using the same round. The revolver should be using .357 or .44 and I have no clue why it lacks a seperate ammo pool.
