Only able to select certain items in menu

I've been having an issue where I go into my menu and can't select craftable items. Like the bow but not arrows or feathers but I can select sticks and rocks, Molotov's but not alcohol, soda but not the canned food. The main problem is I can't select armor or craft any armor like this. The problem is solved if I back out of the game but being the host of our server that is a huge inconvenience. Is anyone else having this issue and/or found a solution?

It happened to me too while I was in a cave. It solved itself when I got out of the cave. Not sure if this is helpful but I thought I should be here.

Does it happen after playing long amount time? BC i notice minor stuff like this, seems be some sort memory problem with the game. Try lowering settings can sometimes increase amount of time till this happens.
