So basically, they are hard to use and it's even worse if you get better arrows.
The stone arrows are just point and click. Literally put the point on what you're trying to shoot.
That's what works for me anyway.
I know this may sound unintuitive,but i find them super useful for far enemies who are charging at me. with patience, you can get head shots this way for massive damage or instant kill. The key i learned was not to panic so i could learn how to aim for the head without a reticle.
I don't think the bow i have is great for long distance hunting as much as it is these medium-gap scenarios where the enemy is closing in fast. I just used the crafted bow.
